Fall Reflection From Directors

1 Nov 2022 by Drew Sorensen

Dear Parents/Supporters/Players/ and Community,

Some years it’s the social or community aspects of our club that are the highlights to our end goal.
At the start of this year, it has been our tactical and technical prowess, growth, and soccer dominance that marks this Fall reflection. Our little community of teams are playing against regional clubs and corporate-sponsored teams and are fairing really well. As Directors, we couldn’t be happier with the competitive nature of our soccer program!

Check this.

U14 Boys 6-1
U13 Girls 5-1-1
U12 Boys 4-3
U10 Boys 5-2
U10 Girls 5-2

Now this isn’t the “end all, be all.” But winning games at any level, any sport, speaks to the many positive things happening before the final whistle. And for us, and hopefully you too, it accentuates the value in developing whole teams, whose player makeup is a representation of the community. It speaks to all of us choosing to support a team/club where competition is healthy, relationships are important, long-term goals are present, and adults see the bigger picture. It is no surprise the PNHS Boys Varsity team finished 12-3-3. Almost 90% of that roster grew up playing in the HSC program.
Chemistry is real! Community is important. Coaching is everything!

So, while we don’t ”self promote” very well, and rather spend more time “marching to the beat of our own drum,” we thought it valuable to share with y’all the on-field successes of our Harvest Soccer Club!! Stay small. Play Big. Play Local.

For most, this is the final week of the Fall season. Thank you for a competitive Sept. and Oct. Show the rest of New England that the orange of autumn still has 1 more week to bask in the moment!

Thank you for your support in HSC.
